Painted Commode Circa 1890.
Charming American commode with gallery board and original grain paint
(refurbished). One drawer over two paneled door cabinet. Original brass
drawer pulls. Sits on simple bracket style feet. Dates from late 1800’s.

Country Pine Double Commode, Circa. 1890.
Old American country style, solid pine, double door commode/washstand. One
drawer over two paneled doors, all w older replacement wooden knobs. Newer
spring type latches inside hold doors closed. Interior shelf is missing.
Scroll shaped gallery board w two candlestands. Thumbnail type molded edge
on top and on gallery board. Scroll shaped apron between bracket style feet.
Scalloped joints on drawer sides

This piece was designed to hold a chamber pot below for nighttime bathroom
visits and usually had a wash bowl and pitcher sitting on top. The small
stands on the gallery board were intended to hold candlesticks for nighttime
illumination.
Older refinish refurbished by us. Warm honey colored pine with satin finish.
Very good condition.

Country Pine Single Commode, Ca. 1880.
Old American country style, solid pine, single door commode w gallery. One
drawer over one panel door and one interior shelf. Thumbnail molded edge on
top and gallery board. Scroll shaped apron between bracket style feet.
Scroll shaped gallery board. Square nails. Knobs are wood screw type and
appear to be original walnut knobs showing quite a bit of hand wear. Door
latch is copper over cast iron and is very old, likely original and also
shows much wear. Warm honey color w satin finish. Older refinish refurbished
by us. Very good condition. This piece was designed to hold a chamber pot
below for nighttime bathroom visits and usually had a wash bowl and pitcher
